Rural Ministry Clergy Cohort We invite you to gather virtually every two weeks with Rev. Ed Kail, well-known pastor, teacher, and clergy leader from the Iowa Annual Conference (and former professor of Bishop Plambeck!). Ed is known for his deep knowledge and understanding of the rural ministry context and challenges. He is a follower of the Way of Jesus with deep roots in the UMC and in the Wesleyan theology of discipleship.

The six-week Scripture Circle Facilitator traning will be on June 11, 18, 25 and July 16, 23, 30, at 10:30-12 p.m. CDT. The purpose of this cohort is to better equip you to lead a group in a scripture circle style.  To maximize the learning and experience, have a group of 6 to 15 people, ready to study with you in your real world that you can practice on. This cohort is going to be capped at 11 people.

Monthly Coaching session are for Fresh Expressions practitioners and their teams. Participants will learn from each other as they process the loving first journey together. Participants will share stories, ideas and get support from others. Michael Beck will facilitate these calls.

The Practical Church Leadership Certificate Program is offered through Dakota Wesleyan University and begins July 2024 with an in-person gathering (July 16-18 at DWU in Mitchell, S.D.). The PCL is a year-long, graduate level certificate program that is focused on these areas:
