It's time again for the Shoebox Christmas across North and South Dakota.
Shoebox Christmas is a program that provides Christmas gifts to needy children across the reservation communities and beyond. In South Dakota, the Rosebud reservation and the Enemy Swim School near Sisseton received gifts. In North Dakota, the Spirit Lake Nation, Turtle Mountain, and Standing Rock reservations received gifts and schools. In Minnesota, the Red Lake Reservation received gifts. Several organizations for families and children in all three states also received gifts.
"We are so appreciative of everybody's generosity," said Paulette Paulson, co-director Spirit Lake Ministry Center. These gifts are special, and you have to always ask yourself: What would I give my own children or relatives if I put them in this box?"
How can you participate? Read a letter of invitation with details.
All gifts must be available for pick up at the locations listed below by THE END OF THE DAY NOVEMBER 8, 2024.
Please be sure and contact the drop off church closest to you to see when you can drop off the Shoeboxes to them.
