Called, one word, many ways: Luke's story

By: Dave Stucke, communications associate, Dakotas UMC

When Luke Smith was a little boy, he clearly remembers his grandmother telling him that God was going to use his loud voice for preaching.

Midway through college, Smith had someone walk with him and encourage him in his journey with Jesus Christ. He was challenged to get involved in ministry on campus. Luke became a leader in campus ministry.

He moved into living out his call. His passion for people and Jesus Christ guided him. Today he serves at Watertown Cornerstone UMC as the pastor of discipleship.
