In discussing chapter two of Tom Berlin's book, Reckless Love, district superintendents Rev. Randy Cross and Rev. Fred Vanderwerf discuss Jesus' example and ministry disrupting our ideas about the limited capacity of love. Whether it's the expanding of the Grinch's heart, or Simon's inability to love himself enough, Berlin calls us to expand the circle of love within each of us, and to include more of the people we encounter every day, especially those we aren't expected to love very much. His second chapter is aptly titled, Expand the Circle.
