Luanching of a new denomination: On May 1, 2022 the  Global Methodist Church planned to mark the official launch of their new, theologically conservative breakaway denomination. Traditionalist group elects leaders:  Meeting on May 6-7, the Wesleyan Covenant Association elected leaders and made plans to continue their work.
