Virtues of the Dakota

Jeff Canfield, a member of the United Methodist Church in Hartford, South Dakota, has a passion for connecting with our Native American brothers and sisters. “This project is divine intervention, something that God has placed on my heart. It is about two cultures coming together,” says Canfield.

Canfield is leaning into his faith and producing a television project called Virtues of the Dakota. The goal is to produce 39 shows over three different seasons. There are seven virtues he will probe by having Dakotans demonstrate various cultural activities in an interactive setting. Canfield's faith has led him to pursue this project with the support of his pastor, Rev. Seth LaBounty.
