Halloween was a little more festive in Fargo, ND, Mitchell, SD, and Wagner, SD, thanks to United Methodist Churches. Fargo Faith UMC and Wagner UMC hosted Trunk or Treat. Mitchell First UMC provided lots of fun at a fall festival on the Wednesday before Halloween.

Trunk or Treat in Wagner
Wagner UMC held Trunk or Treat on Halloween night in the church parking lot. Trunks of cars were decorated and filled with treats. Lots of adults and children came by and strolled past the decorated trunks and received treats. This was a first for the church and they plan on providing it next year to reach out to the community.
Lots of fun at Fargo Faith UMC
Fargo Faith United Methodist Church had a great time meeting the hundreds of kids and families in the neighborhood... including princesses, super heroes, ninjas and zombies.
A celebrity guest for Trunk or Treat was the Hawkeye from the Fargo-Moorhead Red Hawks. Also on hand were the Fargo Police with a squad car and Fargo Fire with an engine truck. One more thing to add to all the excitement was horse drawn hayrides.

Pumpkin bowling and more in Mitchell
At Mitchell First UMC the high school and middle school youth group put on Fall Festival for youth ages 2 to 18. The event was held from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. on the Wednesday before Halloween.
Everyone was invited to decorate pumpkins, eat s'mores and have fun. Lots of fall games were available: pumpkin bowling, donut bobbing, guess the candy corn number, face painting, and pumpkin shuffleboard. Over 200 youth enjoyed the festival.
