Faith That Honors Exodus 20:12-17

Today’s passage continues God’s message to the Hebrew people in the wilderness. God has just spoken to the people about God’s self and the way to be together in worship, and now God describes how being the people of God should shape our human lives together. Our Sabbath prayers and praises in response to God’s words and will are to touch every part of our daily lives. To be together as God’s people, we must be careful of others’ feelings and lives. We must build up instead of tear down.

How are you letting your praise and worship of God shape your daily life? How are you blessing God? How does your faith connect you to others? What behaviors do you need to confess and let go in order to move closer to God and to others?
