Fifty-six flood kits from Claremont, South Dakota have been sent to Valley City, North Dakota. Valley City needs more. Rev. Lee Gale, Dakotas Conference Disaster Response Coordinator for North Dakota states, “ I need to know who is storing flood kits and how many the have and if the entity holding them would be able to deliver them when called for.”

The churches can either Lee Gale at 701-371-7845 or email revt1220@gmail.com the information.  The information will help strategic plan how to get supplies where they are needed.

Gale has partnered with the Red Cross and with the LDS organization (Latter Day Saints) to compliment the flood kits.  These organizations supply brooms, mops and squeegees, which compliment what the United Methodist, supply in kits. 

Rev. Gale notes, "In turn we get our kits to a specific area more quickly than if each entity made their own arrangements for delivery.  To me this is cooperation of ecumenical VOAD partners at it's best."
