Hearts Open Job 38:1-11

There may be many times when we find ourselves questioning God, like Job did. When we lose a friend or don’t get a part or get cut from a team, it can feel like we have been abandoned. But our hearts are opened again when we realize how much bigger God is than anything we are facing.

When Job had questions of why bad things were happening to him, his friends tried to tell Job it was because of things he had done. But when he asked God, the Lord answered with a series of questions to remind Job (and us) that God has been present from the very beginning to create the world and all that is in it. Bad things happen even to good people. We are reminded that “all the morning stars sang together and all the heavenly beings shouted for joy.” In the midst of trials, there is still much more joy to see, hear, and feel if we open our hearts to God’s presence. Today — look and listen!
