Steven Jon Nygaard, 73, died on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Steve was the husband of the Reverend Julie Nygaard, retired Dakotas Conference elder, of Jackson, Michigan.

Together, Steve served with Julie in appointments at Webster, Bristol, Cresbard, Rockham, Miranda, and Tolstoy, in South Dakota. 

Steve's memorial service was held at First United Methodist Church, 275 West Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Michigan, on June 27, 2024.
