MITCHELL, SOUTH DAKOTA – Reverend Jerry Bass has been names as the Associate Director for North Dakota by the Dakotas United Methodist Foundation.
“We are pleased to announce that Jerry Bass will officially begin as the part-time Associate Director for North Dakota on June 1, 2014,” stated Bruce Blumer, Executive Director of the Dakotas United Methodist Foundation.
Bass will assist the ministry of the Dakotas United Methodist Foundation, primarily in North Dakota. He will work with pastors, churches, and ministries of the Dakotas Conference.
Reverend Bass entered the ministry in 2001 after a career in public education. Jerry served as an elementary teacher, principal, and school district superintendent. He spent time as a faculty member and administrator at Oklahoma State University and the University of North Dakota. Bass served at Grand Forks Wesley United Methodist Church and West Fargo United Methodist Church. He retired in 2013. This past year Bass served churches in the Minnesota Conference.
“We are very excited to have a representative back in North Dakotas. We have not had someone in that role since Bob Lower left to serve the flood efforts in the Minot, North Dakota area,” noted Blumer.
