Ministry on the move in Watford City
The Pre-Labor Day picnic fed around 200 people according to the plate count. Folks spread out all over the city park enjoying the food and the evening. Several new people came and many others that have visited the Mobile Thrift Center.

“We had a wonderful picnic on Thursday, August 28 in Tourist Park. We fed 200 people, many who have been through our Mobile Free Thrift Center, plus other folk who saw our posters, sidewalk signs, and Face book posts on several sights,” explained Jim and Kathie Konsor, Dakotas Conference missionaries.
Volunteers helped to make the picnic a success. Some people grilled hamburgers and brats, others served, while others helped to set up and clean up. Over 24 volunteers made the event happen.
Kathie and Jim Konsor provided music as part of the event. “Kathie and I also did several sets of music for the people to enjoy during the evening. Developing relationships with people is what it’s all about. God is helping us to encourage people working to get established here in Watford City," said Jim Konsor.
The Mobile Free Thrift Center was available on from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2nd. It was busy!
“More people are hearing about us and are coming to check us out. We met several friends that have been birthed through this missional outreach. Several new faces to the thrift center sharing new stories of why they moved to the Bakken,” the Konsors stated.
The Mobile Free Thrift Center saw 27 families representing 75 people came through in one evening. In the Bakken Region, so many people are trying to get a new start. The Mobile Thrift Center is there to help meet some of their needs.
