The Dakotas Conference Northern Site Mission u was held July 20-23 at the University of Jamestown in North Dakota.
The dean for Mission u at Jamestown was Brenda Rekow and Cindy Yeager, served as the assistant dean. Fern Bailey was the registrar. The three planned a very successful Mission u with 52 in attendance.
Three studies were offered. They were led by Dawn Armstrong (middle)—“Missionary Conferences of the UMC in the United States”, Rev. Marty Toepke-Floyd (right) — “Climate Justice: Call to Hope and Action”, and Rev. Matt Richards (left)—“Living as a Covenant Community”.
Stephen and Gail Quigg, missionary advocates for the North Central Jurisdiction shared their stories about their time spent in Africa as missionaries. Gail also organized an African Fashion Show with Mission u attendees acting as models. Jayne Reinhiller shared information about the Out in Faith Ministry in Williston.
Rita Maisel (right) from Langdon was plastered with Love Ribbons. She has been making them since the UMW project began in the 1970's. She currently makes around 3000 a year!
