September 1, 2012 marks the beginning of the new Dakotas Minnesota Episcopal Area.  Bishop Bruce R. Ough will serve as the leader.  Sheilah Kyburz  (kee-burs) is the administrative assistant for the Bishop.

Sheilah has served in the administrative ministry of The United Methodist Church for over 30 years, not counting the years of volunteer work she did while growing up in her small rural United Methodist congregation in Malta, Illinois.

Sheilah notes, “What I’d like to convey even more than a record of my past is that I view my work as a ministry in Christ rather than a job; that I look forward to getting to know the pastors, laity and churches of the Dakotas Conference as we become one episcopal Area.”
