Pastor Brenda Wicks, lay servant minister, Carpenter UMC, invites all United Methodists in the Dakotas to join in Praying Our Way Forward.

Heavenly Father, we offer you our prayers, our joys, and our sufferings, as the Commission on a Way Forward and the Council of Bishops strive to discern your will. It is a time of both despair and hope, sorrow and joy, pain and healing. In the words of St. Augustine, we pray for God’s mercy for the past, God’s love for the present, and God’s providence for the future. Give clarity of vision to the church universal and the United Methodist Church as we pray our way forward. We ask all things through Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen
