Jen Einrem, laity, Bismarck Legacy UMC,  invites all United Methodists in the Dakotas to join  in Praying oOur Way Forward. 

Jesus, I pray that you would give strength to the believers who are trying to do your will. Who are interceding for your children; especially on this subject.

Jesus, in our eyes there is no way out, except a split. But Jesus you are so much greater than this, and I believe you can light upon the hearts and minds of all involved, and that your refining fire can fall and reclaim back our hearts from the ruts that we have gotten ourselves into. Jesus we need you – a force greater than ourselves to come along and pull us out of the mud, out of the pit, out of the trap of our enemy.

We do not desire to see our church split apart. We desire your will Jesus, and we desire you to help us to be a holy people who are active and on fire for you and your kingdom purposes. Lord this is stopping the true purposes of us who know you – to Love you with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength; to love others as ourselves and to advance the work of the kingdom by preaching the gospel to all the nations.  Amen.
