Psalm 19:1-4b "To Follow Jesus"

Have you ever been given contradictory instructions like your mom or dad saying: “Hush and answer me when I’m talking to you”? That’s a little confusing, don’t you think? Today's psalm sounds like that when it says “There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; yet their voice goes out through all the earth.”

I was at youth camp when I first heard Chris Rice interpret today’s verses in song:

A lightning flash, my pounding heart,
A breaching whale, a shooting star
Give testimony that You are
And my soul wells up with Hallelujahs.

Oh praise Him, all His mighty works.
There is no language where you can't be heard.
Your song goes out to all the earth.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. Maybe that’s why, if we look up from our phones long enough, all of creation and everything around us, points us to our Creator. Hallelujah.
