Sixteen men from North and South Dakota gathered at Storm Mountain Center to fellowship and grow in faith on March 4 and 5.

“Men from Piedmont, Rapid City, Hot Springs, Oelrichs, Hettinger, Winner and Montrose made up our awesome group,” said Pastor John Britt, Winner UMC.

A group led worship from Piedmont Grace UMC.  “We worshiped together several times, led by a great group of men from Piedmont Grace,” said Pastor Karl Kroger, Piedmont Grace UMC.

Participants learned about how to be men of character and how to be more obedient to the Lord our God, through a DVD study by Coach Tony Dungy.

“We grew closer together in our times of small group discussion and in our times sharing great meals provided by the SMC staff,” said Britt.

Britt and Kroger stated, “It was just an awesome weekend!  If you are a man in the Dakotas Conference, we hope you will be able to join us next year!”

The men’s retreat has taken place the past two years.  The 2018 retreat will be at Storm Mountain the first weekend of March.
