Let us not only talk about love, let us put love into action.
Nature has seasons, and the church has seasons. Let this be our season to put God’s love into action. Good intentions mean nothing unless they come to fruition in what we do.
When we help people in need, it benefits them and bolsters our hearts. I have enjoyed volunteering at events for worthwhile organizations. It has been a way to make friends, support good causes, and put my good intentions into action. One of my volunteer experiences was helping children of families who were made homeless by Hurricane Katrina. It was hot, exhausting work, but I still treasure knowing I made a difference by “being Jesus” to those in need.
It doesn’t take a tragedy or a disaster, though, to put our faith into action. Look around you! Let us start a new season of putting love into action and making a difference.
