Season to Share 1 Corinthians 12:14-18

I think one of the most challenging parts of being a teenager in church is not knowing where you belong. I remember feeling like I was a member of the church, but I wasn’t quite a full member yet. I didn’t vote on stuff during our church meetings, nor did I help lead worship unless it was a youth Sunday.

In this passage, Paul is calling upon us to think about what it means to be part of a large whole. Yes, a pinky finger is still a pinky finger, but it's also part of your body. Each part has its purpose and place, and this helps the whole body function together as one. No one says, “Hey, this is my whole body … well, except for my ears … they’re doing their own thing.” No matter how old you are or how much you know about faith, you are part of the body of Christ. And that’s a good thing.
