A reminder that even when we act, feel, and live in a less than faithful way, God roots for us, longs for us, and reminds us through words such as this psalm that we have another chance to live and act like a person of great faith. In just a few words the psalmist reminds us what it’s like to sit in the place of faith (goodness) and what it’s like to sit in the place of emptiness (evil).
Just know: You will sit in both places, many times. In a single day, a year, a lifetime. And faith is knowing that God sits with you. Beside you. Nudging you. Pulling for you. Pushing that life-giving choice in front of you, with all the love and hope that you can choose the place of faith today.
