Solar Oven Partners (SOP) Director Rick Jost, Assistant SOP Director Cathy Hoss, team members Karen Workman and Dave Silbernagel from the SOP Advisory Board and Lorna Jost (UMVIM-NCJ) began work in Mexico Monday, July 6 with Manos Juntas to train folks on building and using solar ovens.

Manos Juntas, a UM Global Ministries ministry, has hosted many VIM teams. Solar cooking can offer a huge sustainable option for impoverished families in this area.
Solar Oven Partners Director Rick Jost, Assistant SOP Director Cathy Hoss, SOP Advisory Board members Karen Workman and Dave Silbernagel and Lorna Jost (UMVIM-NCJ) are working with community members in Reynosa and Rio Bravo, Mexico, July 6-11 to train folks in building and using 20 solar ovens. Their host, Guillermo (Willie) Berman, is the director of Manos Juntas (Hands Together), an Advance mission of the United Methodist Church in Mexico.
