Reverend Walter A. Nelson, 91, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at Firesteel Health Care Center in Mitchell, South Dakota. Rev. Nelson was a retired elder of the Dakotas Conference.

Rev. Nelson served the Dakotas Conference churches of: Viborg; Rowena / Ben Clare; Elk Point / Richland / Burbank; Diamond Care Center, Bridgewater; Jenkins Home, Watertown; Flandreau / Egan; and Methodist Hospital, Mitchell / Ethan.

A memorial Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 310 N. Rowley St., Mitchell, South Dakota.
