The Reverend David F. Knecht, 92, Fargo, N.D., died Tuesday, Sept. 11, in Farmstead Care Assisted Living under care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Rev. Knecht was a retired elder of the Dakotas Conference.

Reverend Knecht served the churches of Fairmount / Bethany, ND; Fargo Faith, Fargo, ND; Bismarck McCabe, Bismarck, ND; Fargo First, Fargo, ND. He also served as Eastern District superintendent (ND), and as administrative assistant to the bishop. 

Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 21, from 5-8 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Fargo. A memorial service will be Saturday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. at the church.
