Tips for faith communities from NDSU's Dr. Jane Shuh
Dr. Jane Shuh, who serves as the leader of research at North Dakota State University in Fargo, recently shared some ideas to guide faith communities as they make plans to return to in-person worhip, in a video interview with Rev. Ray Baker, who serves Faith UMC in Fargo. Shuh says, "None of us have really experienced this before. As a a scientist, and an extravert, this is hard. We need human connection. Places of worship are needed to connect with people. Pace yourself, and consider how you can be together safely in a place of worship."
Jane Schuh, professor in microbiological sciences at NDSU, currently serves as Vice President for Research and Creative Activity. In addition, she runs an active research program in respiratory health and also serves as the director for the Cellular and Molecular Biology Interdisciplinary Graduate Program at NDSU. A researcher and instructor, Jane earned a BS in zoology and a PhD in cellular and molecular biology from North Dakota State University and served as a postdoctoral fellow in pathology at the University of Michigan Medical School.
