Bondje beni ou (God bless you in Kreyol) to two teams of volunteers bound for Haiti in July.
Funded by a grant from the Cora Foundation, four volunteers join Haiti Solar Oven Partners (HSOP) Director Rick Jost July 21-27 to conduct a survey of 300 previous recipients of solar ovens.

The South Dakota State University team will gather information on cooking seminar education and use of solar ovens in Haitian communities. Led by Dr. Molly Krueger Enz, Associate Professor of French, team members will interview Haitian French and Kreyol speakers. HSOP needs this independently-gathered data to write grants and to improve services. Look for reports when they return.
Five more volunteers join Rick July 27-August 5 to help with construction of a sheltered work area for assembly of solar ovens at our container/staging site. They will also help with a 2-day solar cooking seminar involving about 70 students.
Please pray for these teams. Personalize the people of Haiti and of our workshop volunteers for your congregations by downloading and sharing the Share the Bread powerpoint.
In addition Haiti Solar Oven Partners are gearing up for fabrication of components for the second container of solar ovens to be shipped later this year. A committee will be interviewing and hiring an Associate Director soon. Applications for the position close July 15.
To provide your members with basic information on ways they can be HSO Partners, please download, print and use our new brochures. Learn more about HSOP at haitisolarovens.org and on Facebook at Solar Oven Partners.
