Walking to the Light Isaiah 2:4-5

It seems obvious that everything is seen more fully when there is light. Right? But we seem to enjoy the darkness too much. We often act like we even resent the light. To see things clearly might mean we have to change our minds. And, man, we really don’t like to change our minds.

For there to finally to be peace on earth, for us to not only give up our weapons but put our efforts into things that are far more productive – like farming – there will need to be a whole lot of mind-changing that happens first.

God’s judgments are about shining light into the shadows so that we can see things clearly. So let’s “walk in the light of the Lord!” It will be the beginning of the end of war, and the coming of peace. Thank God.
